My Story

Hi everyone! My name is Amelia and last year I took part in the annual fundraising event 'The Big Sleepout' for St Basil's Charity to raise funds to provide essential support to young people at risk of homelessness. After the success of this incredible event, I'm taking part again this year with a few more colleagues from DHL JLR, Operations Excellence and RWC.

'The Big Sleepout' is an annual event to sleep outside on the streets of Birmingham for one night to gain just a glimpse into homelesses. Every £5 raised houses one vulnerable person for a night. It's a challenge to sleep outside on a cold winter's evening, so that a young person may not have to in the future.

St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to enable them to find and keep a home, grow their confidence, develop their skills, increase opportunities and prevent homelessness.

Please, if you can, donate to our fundraising page to help St Basils continue their essential work within the West Midlands.
