About
The West Midlands Combined Authority are proud to be taking on the 2025 AjBell Great Birmingham Run to support St Basils, a West Midlands based charity dedicated to ending youth homelessness.
The WMCA have taken part in GBR since formation in 2017, in seeking to support organisations who play a huge part in benefiting people's lives across the region of more than three million residents.
For over 50 years, St Basils have been brilliantly supporting young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, providing them with safe accomodation, support, and opportunities needed to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.
WMCA's incredible team of runners will be taking on either the 10K or Half Marathon, and every step we take—along with the funds we raise—will help vulnerable young people in our community find a safe place to call home, and have a chance to build a brighter future.
We would appreciate all your support towards an organisation who embodies the power of good and together, lets help create A West Midlands for Everyone.
A Note From St Basils Fundraising Team...
A huge thank you to the WMCA who have chosen to help raise vital funds for St Basils. We’re so grateful to the Team, plus family and friends for their contributions, which can help change a vulnerable young person's life forever.
